Pressure Reducing Valves

A pressure-reducing valve (PRV) is just as important for your outside irrigation system as it is for the plumbing inside your home. Excessive water pressure can damage irrigation lines, valves, sprinkler heads, and other components. A properly functioning pressure reducer helps maintain consistent water pressure, protects your irrigation system, and helps ensure it operates efficiently. Just as homeowners rely on pressure regulators to protect their household plumbing, irrigation customers should make sure their systems have appropriate pressure control. As a district, we regularly monitor and inspect our pressure-reducing valve (PRV) stations to help maintain proper system pressures and provide reliable service to our customers. However, customers are also responsible for ensuring that their individual irrigation systems have the appropriate pressure regulation and are properly maintained.
